NOVEMBER’S PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION /AHMINA JAMES

NOW THAT WE ARE IN THE 21ST CENTURY AND WOMEN WON THE RIGHT TO VOTE IN 1920 AND ALL OF AFRICAN-AMERICANS HAVE BEEN ABLE TO VOTE SINCE THE CIVIL RIGHTS ACT OF 1964, I BELIEVE ITS TIME THAT TEENAGERS UNDER THE AGE OF EIGHTEEN SHOULD HAVE THE RIGHT TO VOTE. AS A SEVENTEEN YEAR OLD I FEEL THAT I’M MATURE ENOUGH TO VOTE IN THE UPCOMING ELECTION. I FEEL THAT THIS ELECTION IS ONE OF THE MOST FOLLOWED THAN THE LAST ONE. MOST OF MY PEERS THAT ARE OLD ENOUGH TO VOTE WILL BE VOTING IN NOVEMBER AND ARE EXTREMELY EXCITED TO SEE HOW IT ALL TURNS OUT. BUT THE REST OF MY FRIENDS AND I FEEL VERY DISAPOINTED THAT WE TURN EIGHTEEN AFTER THE ELECTION AND WE WON’T BE ABLE TO VOTE. YOU CAN HEAR THIS DISCUSSION AND MORE ON THE WEB AT WWW.YOUTHRADIO.ORG
