FASHION/JOSHLYN PATRICK

ALL MY LIFE I’VE BEEN SURRONDED BY GUYS WITH WHITE T-SHIRTS AND BAGGY PANTS. THEN I STARTED TO SEE DREADLOCKS.AT FIRST IT WAS ATTRACTIVE, BUT THEN IT STARTED TO GET ANNOYING. GIRLS LIKE VARIETY. WE DON’T WANT TO SEE THE SAME THING. COLORFUL CLOTHES WERE MADE FOR YOU TO WEAR, AND BELTS WERE MADE TO PREVENT YOUR PANTS FROM FALLING DOWN. DREADLOCKS ARE OK, BUT ONLY IF THEY’RE NEAT AND THEY LOOK ATTRACTIVE. THE ROOT WORD DREAD MEANS SOMETHING AWFUL. LIKE SOMETHING YOU DREAD TO DO OR DO NOT WANT TO DO. BUT LOCKS ON THE OTHER HAND WERE MEANT AS A SPIRATUAL THING. DON’T GET ME WRONG BECAUSE I DO UNDERSTAND THE HISTORICAL BACKGROUND OF IT, BUT I JUST FEEL THAT THEY SHOULD STILL BE PRESENTABLE. FADES AND NICE CUTS ARE ATTRACTIVE TOO. SPICE YOUR LIFE UP. LIFE DOES NOT HAVE TO BE A UNIFORM. IF YOU WEAR A WHITE T-SHIRT ON MONDAY DO NOT WEAR ONE ON WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY, SATURDAY, AND SUNDAY TOO. I’M JUST GOING TO THINK YOU’RE WEARING THE SAME OLD WHITE T-SHIRT EVERY SINGLE DAY. BE AWARE THAT SAGGIN COMES FROM JAIL, AND DO YOU KNOW WHAT SAGGIN SPELLS BACKWARDS? WRITE IT DOWN AND YOU’LL FIGURE IT OUT. TRUST ME YOU DO NOT WANT YOUR PANTS TOO BIG. IT’S SO NOT CUTE. IM NOT SAYING WEAR SKIN TIGHT PANTS, BUT THEY SHOULDN’T BE TOO BIG EITHER. FOR EXAMPLE, ONE DAY I WAS WALKING WITH A FRIEND ON MY WAY TO GRAB SOME LUNCH, AND HIS PANTS FELL DOWN IN FRONT OF EVERYONE. I COULDN’T HELP BUT LAUGH. HE LAUGHED TOO. I GUESS HE SAW IT AS A JOKE BUT I THOUGHT HE SHOULD BE EMBARRASSED. SHOWING YOUR BUTT IN PUBLIC TO EVERYONE IS NOT CUTE. NOT EVERY GIRL LIKES BAGGY CLOTHES. FOR INSTANCE, I LIKE BOYS WHO WEAR THEIR PANTS UP TO THEIR WAIST LINE, LEAVING SOME ROOM FOR THEM TO BREATHE. I LIKE SOMEONE WHO WEARS SHIRTS THAT DOESN’T LOOK LIKE NIGHT GOWNS BUT DOESN’T LOOK LIKE TANK TOPS EITHER, AND INSTEAD OF HAVING RAGGEDY DREADLOCKS, MAKE THEM NEATER OR GET A NICE FADE, THAT YOU CAN BRUSH AND SHOW OFF. BOYS ITS TIME TO STEP OUT OF THE STEREOTYPICAL BOX, BE INTELLIGENT ENOUGH TO MAKE A CHANGE IN YOUR WARDROBE, AND IN YOUR LIFE.
