One of the funniest videos that I’ve seen was this YouTube video about a young boy who had gone to the dentist. When he went to the dentist he had to inhale nitrous gas which caused him to get stoned. The boy’s father decided it was a funny idea to video tape his intoxicated son. The recording showed the boy tripping out, he was seeing things, screaming and it was just too funny to keep watching, but there I sat and continued to laugh. The boy said “is this real life?” That line was the funniest because it was as if he was in another world, it’s not everyday you see a 7 yr old in that way. “I feel funny, why is this happening to me?” David the boy said. It was weird to see a young boy say these words and the look on his face that he had no idea where he was. I might not know what it’s like to be high on nitrous, but I could see how the boy was lost and out of it by the many looks on his face. He was staring into oblivion saying that he only had two fingers, the young boy was stoned on gas and seeing things that he had never seen before. The video reminds me of how people I know react to comedy, people fall over, cry out loud and sometimes just go out of it. It is always good to have a laugh about random things, and serious things too. So go out there and watch a video or do something random.
Natasha Richardson actress and mother of 2 kids passed away March 18,2009. According to people .com, Natasha Richardson was at Quebec’s Mont Tremblant resort in Canada when she had a ski accident. Medical experts added that 1.4 million people in the U.S. suffer from brain injuries each year or it could have been suffered a subdural memotomna the breaking of the blood vessel inside the brain.I’ts unpredictable how young actors and actresses keep dying, everyone should have their right to live their life. Unfortunate stories like this reinforce that you don’t really know what you have until it’s gone
Lexapro A depression drug has been approved for people in the ages between 12 and 17 years of old with major depression disorder. “2 million teens in the us have had mdd in the past year” the company forest says. The drug was made for adults with depression disorders with the need of a way to feel better. The drug was approved in august 2002 for adults, over some studies of treating teens and their depression there has been an evaluation of having the drug used by teenagers. The company forest laboratories had been filed by U.S justice department for inappropriately promoting antidepressant drugs like Lexapro for children. What really gets my attention of this drug is that it’s an antidepressant drug for people in the ages of 12 and 17. It’s sad to find out that they have to make drugs for teen in depression.
I am passionate about wrestling. I remember watching it on TV and on the Olympics. By seeing these athletes toss and grapple each other I developed an interest in the sport. Since then I have started to wrestle with my brothers and then gotten yelled at by my mom for making too much noise in the house. I have always liked sports with physical contact I like using mybody as a way to perform moves that seem impossible to do. It’s the rush and contact you get that gets me pumped up and ready to wrestle. I started out with wrestling in the 8th grade. When I came to high school I was so excited about getting onto the wrestling team, since I heard competition is more serious there and people are more committed to becoming better. I knew that that’s the place I wanted to be so that I could grow and become a better wrestler. Unfortunately when I talked to the director of athletics at our school I found out that we didn’t have a wrestling team, and we haven’t had one in a long time. I was disappointed that there was no team because I was really pumped up to start a higher level of sports where I would become a better wrestler.
My high school has not taken any actions to bring back the wrestling team. I think it’s really important to have a bigger variety of sports in high school since its one of the reasons why students are in involved in school. There are many students who have a passion for sports and use high school sports to become better and develop skills in life.
It’s normal in our society to have sex at a young age. It’s more likely that teens will have sex when their intoxicated because it causes them to be attracted to the opposite sex. When you’re under the influence teens tend to want sex more than care about their safety. According to womenshealthchannel.com, approximately one-third of young women in the United States become pregnant during their teens. More than 80% of teen pregnancies are unintended and unintentional. I think that teens should be more responsible about having sex and should always be prepared for the outcome if they were not prepared. A lot of my friends are usually only half ready when having sex and end up asking me two weeks later to buy them a pregnancy test. A lot of times pregnant girls can look to the media for suggestions about alternatives for their pregnancy. They could put it up for adoption like in the movie, Juno, or they could keep the baby like they did on the TV show called “Secret life of an American Teenager”, or they could have an abortion likeKyra from the movie “Coach Carter”. Even though teens have all these choices, it still shouldn’t lead them to get pregnant unintentionally.

Even though people don’t like to talk about it, teen dating violence is a bigger issue than most think. The first thing that comes to mind when i hear someone being abused is a man hurting a women. Although physical abuse is serious it’s not the only type. There’s physical, sexual, emotional, verbal, mental, and financial abuse. This happens a lot more than you might imagine. According to datingviolence.org, 30 to 50 percent of female high school students reported to have experienced teen dating violence. It’s commonly believed that women are the only one’s getting abused, but with all these different types males and females can be abusive. There are many types of teen violence and for a lot it isn’t easy to recoginze or prevent these horrible things from happeneing.

LAST WEEK, I PROBABLY GOT AROUND 4 OR 5 HOURS OF SLEEP A NIGHT, AND I DEFINITELY FELT THE EFFECTS OF NOT GETTING ENOUGH SLEEP. FOR EXAMPLE, I AM NOT USUALLY THE ONE TO BE FALLING ASLEEP IN CLASS, BUT I ACTUALLY FOUND MYSELF DOZING OFF DURING A BORING LECTURE. I ALSO REALIZED THAT I WAS FALLING BEHIND IN A COUPLE CLASSES BECAUSE I COULDN ’ T PAY ATTENTION IN CLASS OR FOCUS ON THE TASK AT HAND. AND WHEN I GOT HOME, I WAS SO TIRED THAT I WOULDN ’ T HELP OUT WITH CHORES AROUND THE HOUSE. MY PARENTS HAVEN ’ T TAKEN NOTICE BECAUSE THEY ALSO HAVE PROBLEMS WITH SLEEP. I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE TO HAVE THIS PROBLEM, I HAVE ALSO TALKED TO MY CLASSMATES AND THEY SAY THAT THEY GO THROUGH THIS EXACT SAME THING. THE REASON THAT I AM NOT GETTING ENOUGH SLEEP IS BECAUSE OF SO MUCH WORK THAT I AM GETTING FROM SCHOOL, ESPECIALLY MY AP SPANISH CLASS. I ALWAYS END UP STAYING UP LATE TRYING TO FINISH MY SPANISH WORK, AND ON TOP OF THAT I HAVE HOMEWORK FOR FIVE OTHER CLASSES. I THINK THAT ANOTHER PART OF THIS PROBLEM IS THAT THE SCHOOL SYSTEM REQUIRES US TO WAKE UP WAY TOO EARLY, ESPECIALLY FOR ME, SINCE I DON ’ T LIVE CLOSE TO MY SCHOOL. ACCORDING TO WIKIPEDIA, SLEEP DEPRIVATION CAN HAVE MANY SIDE EFFECTS, INCLUDING DIABETES, EFFECT ON
GROWTH, AND OBESITY. ALSO, A STUDY WAS CONDUCTED AND SAID THAT SCHOOL AGE STUDENTS SHOULD BE GETTING ABOUT EIGHT AND A HALF HOURS TO NINE HOURS OF SLEEP A NIGHT, AND THOSE WHO DO SLEEP THAT MUCH GET HIGHER GRADES. I KNOW THAT IT IS SOMETHING I MUST FIX, BUT IT WILL BE A DIFFICULT TASK FOR ME.
